WHY IT MATTERS
Because it shows us Trump’s character. His willingness to break the law in order to achieve power. Some will, of course, argue that he only wants that power in order to serve America - and yet we conveniently ignore his willingness to bully and intimidate his detractors at our own peril. The fact that he is not the only politician to lie is no justification to ignore his lies. Furthermore, this is one of many many lies that build a picture of somebody who has no intention to treat thepblic with respect.
A jury found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 counts he was charged with relating to , his involvement in a conspiracy to unlawfully influence the 2016 presidential electiong him the first former U.S. president to become a convicted felon. And after that, his team still attempted to silence Daniels?!
The legal fees that Daniels could have been stuck with personally are enough to frighten away even the bravest of us - but Daniels consistently denied Trumps attempts to silence her. Bravo.
It may be somewhat depressing that none of this - nor other criminal charges nor travesties - have prevented Trump from taking office - Most people internationally regard him as an idiot - if useful for some. However, it is an important pat of an effort that will ultimately prevail.
