WHY IT MATTERS
Doing the right thing may or may not bring rewards in the afterlife! However, there is no doubt that doing the right thing certainly does not assure one of universal support in this life. Going head to head with the power of the Donald Trump brand takes great courage. And in this case, although a significant chunk of the nation felt that a sexual predator was suited to the highest office in the land, he was nevertheless found GUILTY - in a process that could not have been more tolerant of his malignant behaviour throughout.
It is also important to recognise just how often Trump loses legal battles. Why? Because whilst he has extraordinary resources behind him, U.S. democracy, along with the rule of law - at least for now - is holding.
Many more women have claimed sexual assault by Donald Trump. As it is entirely appropriate to give the benefit of the doubt to those who are generally honest, perhaps Trump’s pathological dishonesty (that is proven) combined with his own implicating comments and those legal cases he has lost should lead us to believe that the smoke here is the result of a fire with respect to those claims.
