WHY IT MATTERS
Trump will tell us that America has never been so respected. All evidence points the opposite way.
The American people need to hear directly how his actions are impacting America's standing in the World.
Of course, there are those who believe in isolationism - in the U.S. capacity to break off ties with the rest of the World and focus on its own resources and manufacturing.
That view, though, is naive. This administration may tell us that we won all the great wars and subsequent campaigns with insignificant help from foreign allies - that those allies have been a financial burden (rather than our financial enabler). That is nonsense. And we should seriously question what it is that these people are trying to achieve by lying to us in this way.
America IS great - but we have not achieved this greatness on our own, nor will we sustain any greatness on our own.
As a foreign leader, Lars also reminds us how leaders interact with respect and dignity.
