Huge crowds compared with the empty stadiums the belie Trump’s 2024 election victory - Bernie brings a truly progressive message that truly resonates with American people. Money has no place in democracy. Bernie brings clarity to the critical issue of inequality - not merely because it drives unnecessary poverty - but also because it is permitted to subvert democracy - to maintain a status quo that rewards the greed of a minority at the cost to the majority. The landmark legal decision (Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission) concerning campaign finance has been brought to the attention of the American people. Once we get through these turbulent times, there will be more informed resistance to the impacts of that decision on our democracy. Bernie (alongside AOC and their respective teams) has also introduced a term that was once associated with Eastern block corruption into daily parlance of American people - Oligarchy, as entirely disjunct from the notion of democracy.
